Descent to the Ocean Floor

Descent to the Ocean Floor

DESCENT TO THE OCEAN FLOOR Lydia, determined not to weaken, the weight of her suit limiting her movement, but quickening her descent through the dark depths of the Atlantic, was nearing her dream. The X on the map was fast becoming a reality, just one more length of cable and she should be near. An old finial-really heavy and ornate is the base of this necklace. An old piece of furniture hardware captures a brass face and watch gear under a vintage watch crystal. The "X" is an antique, tin, tobacco tag from the late 1800's. Fibers are wound around the top of the finial connecting to a multi-strand chain, vintage beads and old keys. One of the chains is a bluish grey crystal rosary chain. Picasso beads, czech crystal and vintage faux pearls.

Thanks Heidi! I was going for the diving helmet with this one. As soon as I saw it I thought that's what it would become. Mary
