Leslie held her head while people ran in all directions. Dr. Vogel's experiment went wildly wrong, causing panic everywhere. She kept people streaming in the right direction, away from the smoke, staying until they all had cleared the building. Rushing back to the laboratory she pulled Dr. Vogel by his lapels down the hall and into the afternoon sun. Her bravery that day won her this badge.

Moth to the Flame Gossamer wings flickering in the candle glow, spindle legs with cobweb silk hose, the enchanter of men. The chime strikes into the flame. A resplendent mist of luminous gold, she's gone.

Miss Lydia is quite the lady. She's ready for Bingo on Saturday night and church on Sunday morning. But! Here's her daytime job: Mouse Detective! She patrols the house and yard for mice, removing all the freeloaders off the property and into the woods. Miss L. is too tender hearted to put them in a trap and hurt them, she just gently picks them up by the tail and moves them on their way. Even while chasing mice she still has that darned crown balanced on her head. She has her vintage badge attached to her chest. This pin is another of my Miss Lydia pins. She has adventures and friends that pop up in my shops occasionally. Be on the lookout for more of her visits.

Propeller Head Lydia was fascinated by these crazy flying machines, she couldn't keep her mind on the house work. How could she iron shirts, when men were attempting to spread their wings among the billowing clouds, outside her kitchen window? After the family was asleep at night, she'd quietly pull the secret wings from their hiding place, carefully sew another feather, each stitch bringing her closer to her dream of flight. It was only a matter of time now before she could step out to the barn, spread her wings, then step from the roof, confident they will hold her weight, allowing her to soar with the wind.
